Philadelphia BalletSchool offers a variety of classes for ages 3 - adult. PBS is a year-round training ground for aspiring professional dancers and the official ballet school of BalletFleming.
Christopher Fleming, former NYCB danseur, is the founder, Artistic Director and Choreographer of BalletFleming and the Philadelphia Ballet School.
Tiny Toes (3-5 Years Old)
Tiny Toes is a creative introductory into ballet for 3-5 year olds where the basic foundations of dance and classroom discipline are introduced through a barre, some center practice and creative movement.
Level 1 (6-8 Years Old)
The foundations of ballet are studied further with more attention to detail as the students gain comprehension of basic ballet technique through a barre, center practice, adage, allegro and across the floor exercises.
Level 2 classes, for 9-11 year olds, is structured more like a professional level class, still honing the foundations of ballet technique, the students are challenged with more complicated combinations and steps.
Level 3 students are students that are extremely focused and working towards having a career in dance. Classes are geared toward training for the professional dance world.
An audition is required prior to registration. Minimum requirement 3 classes per week. Partnering Class is offered by invitation/audition only. Pointe classes require prior Ballet. Contact PBS to schedule audition.
Level 3 Students are encouraged to attend all PBS evening classes, as well as the morning Open Ballet classes.
PBS operates on a 10 week term; 4 Terms/year basis. Late Registration fees may apply. $30 Registration Fee and $100 Deposit due at time of Registration (deposit to be applied towards tuition). All payments are non-refundable. All schedules are subject to change. Registration to PBStudents implies full year commitment.
